Colibri Solutions is a New York City-based technology consultancy celebrating our 20th year in 2018–2019.
We provide expert consulting and software development services to optimize our clients' business processes, improve their execution, and realize their business goals.
We develop custom software applications using a highly effective process that takes advantage of adaptive modeling, Agile methods, and other modern app development techniques. We differentiate ourselves from our competitors through strong communication skills, ongoing, face-to-face contact, and professionalism.
Colibri Solutions provides business consulting and custom database app development services to corporations and institutions in a wide variety of industries. We develop custom software applications using the FileMaker Workplace Innovation Platform, SQL, REST/JSON, PHP, HTML5/CSS3, and other technologies.
Colibri Solutions is a FileMaker-certified member of the FileMaker Business Alliance. We are also a certified FileMaker Reseller. Colibri Solutions' staff have been invited speakers at the 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016 worldwide FileMaker Developer Conference and at numerous FileMaker–sponsored webinars and other events.

Supporting Research Institutions
Colibri Solutions is also committed to assisting research institutions with comprehensive, integrated solutions for data management throughout their IACUC and facilities operations. Our RPM product family includes the RPM 3.1 solution for animal research protocol and facilities management, RPM Forms for protocol forms creation and review, and our new RPM Mobile solution for Apple iOS.
GoodWeave – Making a Difference
Colibri Solutions proudly supports the work of GoodWeave by providing database and technology support. The handmade carpet industry exploits nearly 250,000 children. GoodWeave is helping to combat this problem and transform the handmade rug industry by certifying child-labor-free rugs and by providing education and opportunities to rescued and at-risk children. Meet Our Management Team
James J. Wesolowski, Managing Principal: James has been designing technology solutions since 1991, when he started his career as a database designer and administrator for a NASA contracting firm. From 1994 to 1998, he served as a management and technology consultant to international development and relief organizations. James founded Colibri Solutions as a technology and database systems consultancy in 1998. He has 30 years of FileMaker development experience and almost two decades of experience in research and educational computing.
As Managing Principal of Colibri Solutions, James is responsible for overall operations, process consulting, and project management, and he is the lead architect for Colibri’s flagship RPM product. James is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University.
Joseph (J) Sciarra, Chief Technology Officer: J has been involved in database architecture and design since 1985. He joined Colibri Solutions as Chief Technologist in 2006, and has led development of our application frameworks and served as technical project lead for our custom app engagements.
J is a dedicated technologist with a consistent commitment to understanding the broad changes occurring within technology as well as a focused skill set, including expertise in solution design and integration using FileMaker Pro, REST APIs, PHP, XML, MySQL, MSSQL, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). He is certified on FileMaker Pro versions 8-16. J attended Reed College.
Karen E. Seiger, Business Development and Marketing Director: With expertise in strategic marketing and client management, Karen began working with Colibri Solutions as a consultant. She joined Colibri Solutions in 2014 to lead our business development initiatives.
Prior to Colibri, Karen worked at American Express in international business development. She has also consulted for several technology startups and creative businesses. Earlier in her career, she managed development programs in Latin America and Africa. Karen speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French, and she holds a BA from Wright State University and an MA from The Johns Hopkins University.
