Comprehensive protocol management for institutions conducting animal research

Developed in close cooperation with the veterinary services division and animal welfare committee of a major university, RPM manages all aspects of research protocols and animal care. RPM is a must for institutions wanting to better organize their operations, control costs, and maintain compliance with governmental regulations.

RPM Features

Protocol Management: Provide at-a-glance information about each research protocol, including species information, protocol actions, approved procedures, personnel, animal records, and investigator account information.

Personnel Management: Manage personnel information, their training and certifications, and their protocol staffing assignments.

Animal Welfare Committee Activities: Schedule committee meetings, produce agendas and minutes, track committee actions, and notify investigators via letter or email of committee decisions.

Animal Management: Track the history of every animal in your care. Create cage cards for different species, track procedures, and transfer animals between locations and protocols. Enter all significant medical and protocol procedures to provide a complete care and use history for every animal in your lab population.

Order Management: Manage your vendors, the products and services that they provide, and your order history with each vendor. Generate POs and blanket orders for all supplies. Track receipt of your order down to the line item level. Charge individual line items to a specific investigator or to a master institution account.

Account Management: Maintain multiple internal accounts for each investigator at your institution. Assign protocols to different accounts. Charge purchases directly to an account. Generate monthly account reports for investigators and your accounting department.

Reporting: Generate over 40 user-customizable lists and reports that can be printed or simply viewed onscreen.

Security: Control user access to the system based on user ID, group membership and access levels. RPM logs all significant actions, and administrators can search the security log by user, date range or action for review or training purposes. As an optional security measure, RPM can use biometric fingerprint technology to identify and authenticate laboratory users.

RPM Web: Provide Internet access for investigators in their offices or on the road by adding this secure (128-bit encrypted) accompaniment to RPM. Using a standard web browser, investigators can view protocol, personnel and other information and create and review animal, technical service and protocol amendment requests.
